Sober named Garver Director of Water Services

Jeff Sober, PE

The Garver Water Services Team has grown into an industry leader known for the delivery of custom designs for water, wastewater, and advanced treatment facilities and related infrastructure. With an eye toward enhancing growth, quality, and client commitment, Garver recently announced Jeff Sober, PE, as its next Director of Water Services.

Sober, who has two decades of experience delivering water and wastewater master plans, process designs, operations consulting, and more, will lead Garver’s diverse Water Business Line that consists of 200 professionals based in offices across the country. From Garver’s Frisco, Texas, office, Sober takes the lead after a planned transition for Dr. Steve Jones, PE, who will now serve as Garver’s West Region Water Director after leading the Water Team since 2004.

“Garver Water has grown from what was once a modest team in one region, to an industry leader in a short of amount of time, and we have all the confidence that Jeff will continue to serve our clients with excellence as a trusted advisor,” said Garver President and CEO Brock Hoskins. “Under Jeff’s experience and leadership, Garver Water will continue to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to our clients.”

Sober, now a member of Garver’s board of directors, joined Garver in 2012 as the North Texas Water Team Leader, and since 2016 has served as Texas and West Region Water Director. During that time, he has helped build a Texas Water Team spread across 11 different in-state offices delivering solutions to clients in some of the country’s most thriving communities. Under Sober’s leadership, Garver Water will maintain a commitment to research and development, quality relationships with clients and communities, and environmental responsibility while delivering long-term operational efficiency.

“Over the last eight years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Steve and others throughout Garver to grow our team into an industry leader,” Sober said. “We look forward to continuing that trend by dedicating our passionate staff, our Water Design Centers, and our nationally-respected Water Technology Team to design innovative solutions our communities need today, as well as the challenges they’ll face in the future.”
