Garver Nation converges in Kansas City for Summit 2022
Each fall, Garver employees from across the country gather to celebrate another successful year with an eye towards the future. And this year’s Garver Summit was the biggest — and best — yet. Almost 900 employees based in 17 offices across the country came together in Kansas City, Missouri, for three days of company meetings, awards presentations, and Garver-style fun.
Events kicked off Wednesday night with a dinner for Garver awards nominees held on the field at Arrowhead Stadium. Thursday’s expo brought all Garver’s business lines together under one roof to connect and share information; it also featured pinatas (courtesy of Office of the Year winner, Harlingen, Texas) and a custom cash-grab booth (thanks to Finance).
The highlight of Summit was Thursday’s awards night which took place in Kansas City’s magical, historic Midland Theatre. Employees embraced the Great Gatsby-theme and turned out in their finest 1920s attire to enjoy the ceremony in all its splendor: the clever (and tear-jerking) videos featuring Garver employees as well as an address from President and CEO Brock Hoskins and Chief Operating Officer Michael Graves in which they highlighted the year’s achievements.
This year’s Summit, however, wasn’t just about Garver. Friday morning, about 400 Garver employees showed up before sunrise at Liberty Memorial to participate in a volunteer opportunity hosted by GarverGives. Garver volunteers spent the morning assembling snack packs for homeless veterans and participating in a fun run around the memorial.
Leave it to Garver to pack all that into 48 hours — fun, comradery, work, and volunteerism. It’s the Garver way.
