White named to Airport Business 40 Under 40

Adam White

Airport Business recently recognized Garver Aviation Operations Manager Adam White, PE, for his dedication to the industry by naming him to its Top 40 Under 40 list for 2024.

At only 38 years old, White leads a team of 55 aviation engineering experts and has overseen the design of infrastructure projects totaling over $1 billion nationwide. Being in the business of connections, he has fostered longstanding partnerships both within and outside the office. From intricate terminal designs for large hub airports to comprehensive runway rehabilitations, White continues to connect communities to their families, jobs, and beyond.

White’s strong and reliable leadership made him a clear choice to head Garver’s Aviation Design Center (ADC). His pivotal role in the ADC’s rapid successes led to him being selected to help establish Garver's second ADC, keeping Garver at the forefront of the aviation industry.

In addition to fostering Garver’s ADCs, White has been instrumental in the $2.7 billion expansion of Terminals A and C at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which added 24 new gates. His influence extends beyond the U.S., including a runway extension project where his team accelerated a 1,300-foot runway and taxiway extension program, training pilots from multiple countries.

Throughout his career, White has recognized that the future of aviation rests with the next generation of learners. He is deeply passionate about youth education, engaging with students from high school through to recent college graduates. He frequently speaks to classes at his alma mater, the University of Arkansas, about aviation design and the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. With the nation facing a shortage of engineering graduates, White is committed to working with young engineers as they embark on their careers.

The University of Arkansas College of Engineering honored White with the Early Career Award in 2023, recognizing his impact on the aviation industry, his alma mater, and the engineers of tomorrow. Additionally, White, alongside two fellow alumni, established an annual scholarship for engineering students at the university.

White is a former board member of the Arkansas Community foundation, where he reviewed grant applications for innovative early childhood education techniques. Through his efforts, White continually seeks new ways to invest in future generations.

His other honors include being named to Engineering News-Record Texas & Louisiana’s Top Young Professionals, Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, the 2019 class of Leadership Arkansas, and Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40 list.
