Garver offices celebrate Engineers Week
Engineers Week is an annual event meant for members of the profession spread across the country to celebrate accomplishments and look toward the future of the industry. “Inspiring Wonder” was the theme for 2018, as Garver employees participated in a variety of events meant to encourage the next generation of critical and innovative thinkers.
In Hoover, Alabama, Matthew Burgess, a project manager in Garver’s Birmingham office, helped elementary school students participate in an Olympic-style event that taught them lessons with force and motion experiments.
In Frisco, Texas, Project Engineer Ashley McDonald and Senior Project Manager Quinn Spann attended an event at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas Love Field Airport in which they visited with elementary school students about the various components of traffic engineering.
