Arkansas Business names White to 40 Under 40 list
Arkansas Business Journal recently named Garver’s Aviation Operations Manager Adam White, PE, to its 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes young professionals across a range of fields for demonstrating excellence in both their personal and professional lives.
At just 37 years old, White leads a team of 40 aviation engineering experts and has managed the design of over $500 million in infrastructure projects nationwide — from terminal design to runway rehabilitation.
His expedited career path from an engineering intern to overseeing critical aviation projects across the country is a strong testament to his leadership and talent. Over the course of his career, White has crafted a long-standing partnership between Garver and the Northwest Arkansas National Airport and other local municipal airports, completing over $100 million in aviation development in the region.
It's no surprise that White was selected to lead the charge in launching Arkansas’s first ever Aviation Design Center, Garver’s hub for aviation engineering expertise, in Fayetteville. Together with his team, he created a vision for the Center and saw it from inception to completion. Since its launch, the Center has worked on over $1 billion in airfield improvements and continues to thrive today.
At the core of White’s work is his belief in the importance of serving communities, and he puts those principles into action outside of the office as well. A former leader in GarverGives, the firm’s corporate giving arm, he played a vital role in some of the program’s most significant donations. Most notably, he rallied Garver’s employees for an event that raised $10,000 of a total $30,000 GarverGives donation to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital for its new, state-of-the-art pediatric center in Fayetteville. In addition, White focuses on education, advising engineering students looking to take the next step in their careers and helping cultivate the next generation of talent.
“Adam’s leadership is born out of a passion for service — to his clients, his team, and his community,” said Garver Director of Aviation Frank McIllwain, PE. “Adam's work has truly impacted a number of regions around the nation, though he's too humble to ever brag about it.”
