Chris Rickman joins Garver as Director of Strategic Growth and Business Development for Buildings
Chris Rickman, FSMPS, CPSM, has joined Garver’s Buildings Team as Director of Strategic Growth and Business Development. With over 30 years of dedicated work in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, Rickman brings to Garver his expertise in process improvement, financial operations, human resources, and marketing.
As Director of Strategic Growth and Business Development, Rickman will act as a bridge between his own supervised technical teams and Garver’s larger industry prospects, connecting our clients, partners, ambassadors, and Buildings staff into a unified effort.
“With such a rich history in securing and maintaining advantageous business relationships,” said Garver’s Director of Buildings Services Brad Bradshaw, “we are confident in what Chris brings to the table. We've already begun seeing how his tenacity and strategic vision support the growth of our Buildings Team.”
After beginning his career as a CAD technician and developing into a business manager and now director, Rickman’s professional trajectory demonstrates capabilities in all stages of business and in various markets. He has a history of elected leadership positions with upward momentum, serving as secretary, treasurer, then president on a society board as well as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of his previous firm.
From client relationship programs to the daily maintenance of accounts, collections, and budgeting, Rickman offers a diverse skillset uniquely catered to bolstering cross-discipline collaboration and efficient practices.
Rickman was drawn to Garver’s talented engineers and designers, as well as our nationally recognized workplace culture. The prospect of participating in high-impact, nationwide opportunities with the backing of Garver’s resources captured his interest. At Garver, Rickman will work to align growth strategies, share resources, and coordinate projects across Garver’s markets.
In a few short months, Rickman has already established a reputation for fostering healthy collaboration within his team. “One thing that’s remained constant for me is the fact that we're always learning, new hires and leaders alike,” said Rickman. “Learning, growing, and working together is the only recipe to guarantee project success.”
Since 2003, Rickman has been active in the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), championing its mission to transform AEC firms through marketing leadership. He brings energy and vision to Garver’s strategic growth, helping shape the firm’s future while empowering his team and driving momentum across the organization.
