Earlier in his career, he served in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate Second Class Petty Officer, where he completed Nuclear Power School training and helped oversee the safe operation of nuclear propulsion systems.

"Spencer brings the technical expertise, leadership experience, and client-focused mindset that align perfectly with our vision for expanding commissioning services across our Buildings portfolio," said Director of Building Services Brad Bradshaw, PE, LEED CXA. "His understanding of building systems and performance verification will help our clients ensure their facilities operate efficiently and as designed from day one."

A Certified Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), Cody holds bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from Friends University, where his graduate studies emphasized change management. He is also an active member of ASHRAE and the Building Commissioning Association.

"Commissioning is about creating confidence that a building's systems will perform the way owners, operators, and occupants expect," Cody said. "I'm excited to join Garver and work alongside a talented team to help deliver high-performing facilities that provide long-term value and reliability."
