Lopez selected for ACEC Texas Leadership Academy
The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Texas has selected Garver Transportation Team Leader Al Lopez, PE, for its 2024 Texas Leadership Academy, which highlights the voices behind Texas engineering and design services.
He will join a group of fellow local leaders to participate in the program, which includes seminars covering various topics such as leadership and management skills, strategic thinking, and more.
Lopez has over 21 years of transportation engineering experience and serves clients throughout Texas from Garver's Dallas office.

Helping lead the design of high profile projects with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), as well as heading several municipal engineering projects, Lopez’s field experience has impacted the state for two decades.
Additionally, Lopez has extensive experience with TxDOT schematics and PS&E. His work spans roadway design, cross sections, grading and earthwork, traffic control plans, retaining wall layouts, signing and pavement marking, and SW3P.
Lopez joins Field Services Texas Director Dakota Zimmerman and Aviation Project Manager Ken Rutabana as Garver employees to participate in the ACEC Texas Leadership Academy.
