AUO Taxiway Alpha North Relocation

Phased improvements and upgrades

Garver provided survey, engineering, and construction phase services on this four-phased project at Auburn University Regional Airport to demolish and remove the northern portion of Taxiway Alpha between Runway 11-29 and the south ramp, as well as demolish and remove all existing airside and landside features east of Airport Road. Taxiway Alpha was too close to the runway and not able to handle current aircraft weight and is now 35-feet wide and offset from Runway 18-36 by 400 feet. It also now connects with Runway 11-29 and the south ramp. The project included new taxiway edge lighting and guidance signs for new taxiway pavements.
