Phased improvements
Garver is providing design and construction support services for improvements to DFW’s Terminal D, consisting of four different projects. Garver-led improvements include structural expansion joint replacement of the upper and lower level sidewalks and roadway, expansion joint replacements of the baggage handling rooms on the ramp, replacement of UPS power backup devices in 65 communication rooms, and a new roof and window sealant for the attached Grand Hyatt. Phasing and scheduling were designed around the future closure and rehabilitation of the Grand Hyatt, while coordination was required for contractor laydown space, parking, AOA, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection access.
