Upgrades at Huntsville International
Garver worked closely with the Huntsville International Airport/Port Authority to develop a four-year implementation plan that upgraded all airfield pavements, the bulk of its lighting system, as well as other components that upgraded it to a FAA Group VI, which allows it to accommodate some of the largest aircraft. The four-phased project included design, plans, specifications, and construction services that improved and widened the airfield’s pavement – including full-length Runway 18L and taxiways – and installing shoulders, edge lighting, and guidance signs.
Huntsville serves a very important role in air cargo. The airport stages weekly international non-stop flights to Europe, Mexico, Hong Kong, and San Paulo, Brazil. This upgrade allows Huntsville International to fulfill their mission to its fullest extent.Ryan Reed Garver Project Manager
