Runway 13-31 West Improvements
Garver completed design, survey, and geotechnical investigations, as well as bidding and construction phase services, for a project that updated the oldest runway pavement at Nashville International Airport. Design services to replace the Runway 13-31 West pavement included geometric design, grading, drainage, pavements, markings, electrical, and NAVAID improvements. The design team repurposed existing pavement for use as a reclaimed cement-treated base for the new runway shoulders, which made construction more sustainable, while saving costs and increasing construction time over traditional methods.
