Steamboat Springs Runway Rehabilitation

Critical upgrades

Runway 14-32 at Steamboat Springs Airport/Bob Adams Field hadn’t been rehabilitated in more than two decades, so Garver is working with the airport to address pavement conditions as well as electrical and lighting upgrades. In addition to a runway rehabilitation, Garver is working to upgrade a runway lighting system that has reached its design life. Improvements will consist of reconstruction of the high intensity runway edge lighting system and installation of a PAPI-2 unit. Other NAVAID improvements in this project include the relocation of the existing Runway 32 wind cone outside the runway object free area, installation of a new wind cone on the Runway 14 end for improved visibility and safety, and installation of a new rotating beacon with tip-down tower.
