Canine Training Facility
Garver served as the prime designer of record for a new TSA Canine Training Center facility at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The design-build project included design project management, design quality control; and architectural, civil, communications, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection design services. The 25,000-square-feet facility includes classrooms, offices, and a large gathering space to house a school that produces 230 canine/handler teams per year. Through the use of efficient water fixtures, recycled and local materials, Garver’s design included energy savings calculated at more than 30 percent.
