The Garver-designed roadway travels through a developing residential area to connect a nearby interstate and two newly constructed elementary schools. Designed in three sections, Bryant Parkway is a two-lane boulevard complete in some sections with a raised median, curb and gutter system, storm sewers, and a shared-use pathway. Garver developed traffic models at five sites, and included future signal design, while designing one section under an accelerated schedule to ensure construction was completed before the start of an upcoming school year.
This project also took one step in meeting the goals of the public, which had vocalized a desire for more pedestrian and bicycle access, by emphasizing the significance of pedestrian and bicycle-friendly infrastructure with multi-use trails that encourage exercise while connecting parks and schools.
