Project runs through area known as Griever Canyon
The need to replace an aging bridge was made complex considering the rugged terrain that surrounded U.S. Highway 281 in Oklahoma. Garver worked with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to find the best alignment for the new bridge, and to upgrade the corridor to current design standards. Alignment and design were also affected by the need to maintain two open lanes during construction, while working with geotechnical engineers to provide stability of proposed design slopes.
Our preliminary engineering evaluation involved studying multiple alignments for this 1.3-mile bridge and roadway project.Brent Schniers Transportation Team Leader
