Welspun Yard Track Design

In conjunction with a major building expansion and in preparation for expanded production, Garver designed 4.2 miles of new track on Welspun Pipes, Inc.’s 500-acre site in the Little Rock Port Industrial Park. The track provides storage for unit trains being made from the pipe storage yard on site. The project included the initial route and topographic surveys, technical specifications, and unit price schedules for negotiated pricing by an owner-selected railroad contractor. Garver also prepared plans and specifications to construct approximately 5,000 feet of track with seven turnouts and included major drainage structures in the Port’s outfall drainage ditch.
