Mott Named Museum of Discovery Spark! Star
Every year, the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock shines a spotlight on Arkansans whose achievements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are making a meaningful impact on their communities and beyond. As part of that tradition, the museum recently recognized Garver's Director of Field Services Earl Mott as a 2026 Spark! Star.
For more than 35 years, Mott has helped shape the infrastructure that connects communities, strengthens economic development, and improves quality of life across Arkansas. From major transportation corridors to aviation facilities and other critical infrastructure, his career has been defined by a commitment to delivering projects that serve people for generations.
"The Museum of Discovery has inspired curiosity and learning for countless Arkansans, so this recognition means a lot to me," Mott said. "I've been fortunate to work alongside incredible teams throughout my career, and I'm grateful to be part of a profession that creates lasting improvements for communities across our state."
A Little Rock native and University of Arkansas graduate, Mott began his career with Garver's Aviation Team before becoming one of the firm's most respected infrastructure leaders. Throughout his career, he has overseen some of Arkansas's most significant transportation investments, including serving as project manager for the Arkansas Department of Transportation's (ARDOT) 30 Crossing Project, the largest undertaking in the agency's history. He also played a key role in delivering 31 construction projects through ARDOT's Connecting Arkansas Program and has provided construction support for improvements at Clinton National Airport and transportation projects statewide.
Today, Mott leads Garver's construction engineering, inspection, and survey services as Director of Field Services, a role he has held since 2010. His team is slated to perform construction engineering and inspection services for the replacement of the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge between Arkansas and Tennessee, one of the region's most important upcoming infrastructure projects.
In addition to his project leadership, Mott serves on Garver's Management Committee, helping guide the firm's long-term vision and strategic direction. Earlier this year, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed him to the Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors, where he helps oversee the licensing and professional standards of engineers and surveyors across the state.
While his project experience is extensive, those who know Mott best point to his leadership, mentorship, and dedication to the engineering profession as his greatest contributions. Throughout his career, he has invested in developing future engineers and construction professionals, helping ensure Arkansas remains positioned for continued growth and innovation.
Like past Spark! Star honorees, Mott’s impact extends beyond his daily work, reflecting a sustained commitment to advancing STEM and inspiring the next generation of problem solvers.
Mott joins other Garver Spark! Stars: Principal Accounting Officer/Controller Beverly Roberson, Quality Control Lead Nicci Tiner, PE, PTOE, Senior Business Development Director Jerry Holder, and former CEO and president Dan Williams.
