TRA CRWS Master Plan and Modeling Project

Planning for the Future

Tasked with providing a comprehensive Master Plan for the largest tertiary water resource recovery facility in Texas, Garver didn’t focus solely on future capacity at the Trinity River Authority of Texas’s Central Regional Wastewater System (CRWS). Instead, Garver teamed with CRWS to evaluate efficiency, flow management, treatment process optimization, and planning for regulatory changes at a facility that services 1.4 million customers with a peak capacity of 400 million gallons per day. Garver also developed and trained staff to operate a state-of-the-art treatment process model and a whole plant-integrated hydraulic model for future use. The Master Plan and modeling project helped sustain a critical facility while meeting the needs of the growing Dallas-Fort Worth region.
