Garver named AFP Arkansas’s Outstanding Corporation

Garver knows the importance of investing in the communities where its employees and clients live and work through charitable contributions and philanthropic activities. That’s why GarverGives, the firm’s corporate giving arm, supported more than 320 organizations, contributed more than $323,000 in funding, and devoted more than 800 employee community service hours in 2019.

Because of those contributions and others, Garver was honored with the 2020 National Philanthropy Day award for Outstanding Corporation by the Arkansas chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

In recognition of the award, GarverGives initiative leaders Jordan Culver, an Aviation Program Manager, and Sarah Palmiero, Garver’s Wellness Team Manager, were featured in the November 2020 Issue of Inviting Arkansas. Palmiero expressed her gratitude for the giving opportunities GarverGives has cultivated.

“I’m grateful for the multitude of opportunities that GarverGives has opened up to give back to Central Arkansas – anything from school drive donations to spending a weekend connecting with children in the community,” she said. “Getting to uplift the communities that I love so deeply is what it’s all about for me.”

One of Garver’s community partners, the Centers For Youth and Families, nominated Garver for the award.

“Garver and their employees have a generous, thoughtful and giving attitude to corporate responsibility, philanthropy, and charitable support,” Foundation Director Melissa Hendricks said. “The GarverGives board of directors works to diversify and spread support to as many organizations as possible.”
