Garver honored by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce with 2022 Business of the Year Award
Over 800 members turned out for an exciting night at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, where Garver was honored by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce with the 2022 Chairman’s Award as the Large Business Partner of the Year.
Founded in Little Rock in 1919, Garver made a conscious decision to build its headquarters in North Little Rock in 2009 because of all the opportunities and amenities the area offered to its employees, like access to trails and parks along the Arkansas River. Over the years, some of Garver’s most impactful projects have enhanced the livability for residents in the City, including the Broadway Bridge and the Big Dam Bridge while working with valued clients like the City of North Little Rock, the North Little Rock Municipal Airport, and more.
“For more than a century we’ve worked with Arkansans across the state to help their communities grow,” said Garver Communications Director Laura Nick, who is also Chairman Elect of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. “With more than 400 employees in the state, and almost 200 in North Little Rock, we’re proud to be a part of this vibrant community and are excited to play a role in its future.”
The 38th annual meeting included remarks by outgoing chair Anna Beth Gorman, Executive Director of Women’s Foundation of Arkansas, and incoming chair Dr. Jerome Green, President of Shorter College. Arkansas Department of Transportation Director Lorie Tudor, was the keynote speaker.
The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Business & Non-Profit Partner Awards are designed to recognize the dedication, innovation, leadership, community service, achievements, and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by businesses in the community. A nominating committee composed of Chamber Executive Committee members review submitted applications.
