Garver aids Hurricane Laura relief efforts

Garver employees not only strive to give back to the places in which employees and clients live and work, but also uplift distant communities. In late August, Hurricane Laura caused severe damage to homes and businesses in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Transportation Project Manager Randy Gros had firsthand experience of how much relief critical supplies can provide after he experienced Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath in his hometown 15 years ago. Garver employees in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and GarverGives, the company’s corporate-giving arm, responded generously to his call-to-action by donating more than $2,200 in food, water, and other supplies to the effort.

Garver employees from the Frisco, Texas office teamed up with the City of Frisco to load boxes of the donated supplies into trucks at the Southland Athletic Conference’s collection site. The supplies will travel to Lake Charles to help the victims of the hurricane.
