More than 500 professionals dedicating their careers to protecting and enhancing the state’s water resources make up the North Texas Section of the Water Environment Association of Texas. Each year, its February Seminar provides members with an opportunity for professional development and networking.

Director of Water Services Jeff Sober, PE | How to Use a Crystal Ball – Developing the 2020 SAWS Wastewater Facilities Master Plan | 2:45 p.m., Feb. 22
Jeff will discuss the need, findings, and recommendations of the 2020 San Antonio Water System (SAWS) Master Plan for its Water Recycling Centers. The presentation will go into detail on ten distinct tasks which build upon each other to determine the solutions for all the challenges asked.
West Texas Water Team Leader Tina Hanson, PE, and Russell Redder, PE (City of Fort Worth) | Fort Worth VCWRF – Knowledge Transfer Tools | 8:15 a.m., Feb. 22
Fort Worth has implemented a great tool to assist with cross training staff, identifying space constraints, and site needs. Tina and Russell will discuss how the tool can be used to train new staff so they can become familiar with previous facility planning and subsurface utilities.
