Garver’s first job at Shelbyville Municipal Airport (SYI) was an ALP update. Thirteen years later, as the Engineer of Record at SYI, Garver provided planning services to create an updated Airport Layout Plan. This plan provides the airport with a twenty-year forecast of based aircraft, aeronautical activity, and facility requirements to assist in the upgrades needed to meet future demands and safety requirements in compliance with current FAA airport design standards. This project included specific focuses on the relocation of a major area flight school to SYI and support for a Federal Contract Tower application.
