Garver served as the prime engineering consultant for the schematic and final design phases, and also performed construction inspection services for Hays County Low Water Crossing improvements. The project included performing hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, structural design, schematic roadway design, and cost estimating for 15 low water crossings in Precincts 1 and 2. Construction support and daily activity documents were provided by Garver for the Chaparral Park Road, Cotton Gin, Francis Harris Lane, Bear Creek, and the Turnersville Road sites.
Key improvements, based on project need, include replacing corrugated pipes, new safety guard rails, widening existing roadway, revegetation, drainage improvements, streambank stabilization, culvert and slope protection, reinforced concrete boxes, continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP), and head and wing walls, among other enhancements. The project’s final phase of construction is estimated to be completed by early 2026.
