City Builds Complete Street
The city of Frisco, Texas, wanted its redevelopment project of Fifth Street to benefit everyone – citizens, and local businesses included. So when Garver went to design the improvements, it met with city and local stakeholders to come up with a final plan that aligned with the vision of those who would use the improvements the most. The complete street that has proved efficient for bicycles, businesses, cars, and pedestrians, improves the connectivity with downtown and other developed portions of the city with access to malls, hotels, and a minor league baseball stadium.
The street is a more pedestrian-friendly environment, encouraging more activity in the area with outdoor patio eating areas and a visual connection to Main Street.Quinn Spann Transportation Team Leader
