Big Sand Creek Bridge

Garver provided roadway, bridge, hydraulic, and wetland delineation services to replace the SR 35 bridge that connects Carrollton and North Carrollton Mississippi. An important local landmark, the bridge was dedicated to Carroll County soldiers who lost their lives in World War II. The design of the bridge incorporated a decorative brick railing to greet travelers, while also included a detour road and small local road realignment. The length and span of the bridge allows adequate setback of the main channel bents from the channel banks and will minimize scour and debris potential at the bridge.
