Creating a phase plan to prioritize capital improvements
Garver was selected to perform a wastewater treatment facility master plan for the Springdale Wastewater Treatment Facility in Arkansas. The master plan includes wastewater characteristics and loading assessments, field assessments and verifications, development of planning criteria, hydraulic and process modeling, several technical evaluations, plant layout development, and capital improvement planning with the owner. The technical evaluations include industrial loading mitigation, electrical service and standby power, instrumentation, controls, SCADA, risk and resiliency, influent pump station, odor control, headworks, plant water system, solids management, tertiary filtration, alternative disinfection, and gap analysis. The capital improvement planning was based upon the full build out, and short-term capital improvements will be prioritized and phased.
Because the $470 million CIP has a significant impact on customer cities and the facility, it was critical for the process to include the input of all possible stakeholders, and a constant line of communication was crucial throughout the entire process.Jeff Sober Garver Texas Water Team Leader
