Garver honors three with Spirit of Garver Award
Given annually to the employees who exhibit a passion for their profession and a dedication to upholding the company’s values and standards, the Spirit of Garver Award is the highest individual honor bestowed upon a Garver employee. Garver honors these individuals at Garver Summit, an annual gathering of employees for company meetings and awards presentations.
This year, at Garver Summit 2018 in Huntsville, Alabama, a panel of judges selected Aviation Project Manager Sara Andrews, Communications Team Manager Guy Choate, and Transportation Project Manager Matthew Youngblood as the latest winners of a cash prize and company recognition.
Andrews, based in the Frisco, Texas office, has helped Garver deliver innovative projects to the City of Dallas Department of Aviation, the Texas Department of Transportation Aviation Division and the Federal Aviation Administration at various airports, including Dallas Love Field, the Dallas Executive Airport, Addison Airport and McKinney National Airport.
Choate, based in the North Little Rock, Arkansas office, manages the Communications Team, which assists all Garver service lines through internal and external messaging, maintains Garver's brand standards, and leads the planning and execution of Garver Summit, among other things.
Youngblood, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has been integral in the design of the Gilcrease Expressway, a segment of four-lane toll road for the City of Tulsa and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Youngblood is also his office’s committee leader for GarverGives, the company’s fundraising arm.
The three were selected from a group of 13 finalists, which came from a collection of nominations made by their colleagues. Congratulations to all of Garver’s winners, finalists, and nominees.
