Garver aids growth of Arkansas school
The Shiloh Excel Christian School’s mission to offer faith-based education to students in Little Rock, Arkansas, will soon be enhanced thanks to GarverGives and Garver’s Facilities Design Team.
In early 2021, Shiloh Excel is set to move into a brand new, 2,400-square-foot facility, allowing it to enhance its curriculum that places an emphasis on STEM education.
GarverGives, the firm’s corporate-giving arm, donated $4,500 in funds, along with laptops, for the students. In addition, Garver’s Facilities Design team provided in-kind architectural and engineering services for the building that will sit on church property.
“Shiloh Excel Christian School has truly been blessed by the deep commitment and generosity of the Garver team, which is helping us develop an educational foundation for young children while making a difference in the community now and for the future,” said A.J. Brown, chairman of the Shiloh Excel school board.
The efforts by Garver’s Facilities Design Team included architectural and engineering services such as structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil site design. Thanks to Garver’s work, the modular building owned by the school will soon be a fully-equipped classroom facility for grades kindergarten through eighth grade.
A dedication was held at the school’s future site last month. Construction is expected to begin soon, and students could move into the new facility early next year.
