Mott appointed to State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors

Director of Field Services Earl Mott

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders recently appointed Garver Director of Field Services Earl Mott, PE, to the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.

Over his 35-year career at Garver, Mott, who is also a member of Garver’s Management Committee, has led a wide range of design and construction projects while collaborating with clients and partners across the United States. He has served as a civil and construction engineer, project manager, and Director of Field Services, while supporting major clients including the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Texas Department of Transportation, and more.

Mott has built his career on forward thinking and dedicated service. Drawing on his construction expertise, he is committed to supporting practical infrastructure solutions with responsible labor practices.

Reflecting on his appointment, Mott expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve his home state. “At the end of the day, it’s about giving back to the communities and the professions we work in,” he said. “This appointment is a chance to continue that service in a different way, and I’m thankful for it.”

As a board member, Mott will work alongside fellow professionals to oversee the licensing of engineers and surveyors across Arkansas.

Mott’s gubernatorial appointment makes him Garver’s third representative to serve in a statewide role of this kind. He follows Arkansas Water Team Leader Jerry Martin, PE, who was appointed to the State Board of Health in April and Director of Enterprise Solutions Jerry Holder was appointed to the Arkansas Economic Development Council in 2025.
