Dakota Zimmerman named to Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list

Field Services Texas Director Dakota Zimmerman, PE, CQM-C, has been honored as one of the newest additions to this year’s Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 list. This list recognizes leaders spanning a wide range of industries across the North Texas region.

Throughout his career, Dakota has fostered partnerships with Departments of Transportation, airports, water and wastewater utilities, municipalities, and more to craft valuable infrastructure solutions across the country. Dakota’s resume touts over $1 billion in construction work for clients nationwide and growing a team of Texas construction experts from 15 to 40 who are delivering CE&I services across the state, from El Paso to Tyler, and from Amarillo to Harlingen.

“Being named to this list by the Dallas Business Journal is an incredible honor,” said Zimmerman. “Working with clients throughout this region has been deeply rewarding, and I look forward to continuing to work together to support the future of North Texas’ infrastructure.”

As Garver expanded its construction engineering & inspection efforts into Texas, Zimmerman was tapped to spearhead this initiative as Garver’s Texas Construction Services Regional Director in 2022. Now, he is partnering with the Texas Department of Transportation, as well as with multiple Texas municipalities and water authorities—with projects totaling over $1.5 billion in construction costs.

“Dakota has been instrumental in Garver’s growth throughout the North Texas region,” said Garver’s Director of Construction Services Earl Mott, PE. “In just a few years, he has built longstanding partnerships and led infrastructure projects that will serve the area for decades. I’m proud that the Dallas Business Journal has given him such well-deserved recognition.”

Outside of his duties as a construction engineering expert, Zimmerman is an active volunteer with local organizations through GarverGives, the firm’s corporate giving program. He is also a devoted volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, assisting in multiple build projects and sourcing donations to fund a home for a local family.
