Ratliff joins Garver as Construction Services Team Leader in Mississippi

Brian Ratliff, a three-decade veteran of the construction industry in Mississippi, has joined Garver as Construction Services Team Leader in Mississippi.

Ratliff comes to Garver after serving almost 30 years at the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), where he oversaw projects across his home state. The Mississippi State graduate joined the department as a project engineer in 1996 before ultimately overseeing all 82 counties in the Magnolia State in his role as deputy executive director.

“Brian is a well-respected and well-liked veteran in the industry,” said Garver Director of Construction Services, Earl Mott, PE. “He understands the needs and long-term goals of DOTs, municipalities and other agencies, and his experience and expertise will be enormous assets to Garver.

Ratliff has worked closely with Garver over the years and was familiar with its award-winning culture and reputation, even serving as a judge for the Ridgeland office’s popular annual “Rib and Roll” event for the last two years. He now looks forward to being part of the event as a participant.

Ratliff was also the project manager for the Split Diamond project that encompassed the area in which the Ridgeland office is located, and he takes a certain satisfaction in being able to see the fruits of his labor outside his window every day.

“Over the course of my career, my goal has always been to make Mississippi communities better,” said Ratliff. “I can’t wait to continue pursuing that goal with a firm like Garver.”
