Garver employees help students return to classrooms

Garver has always believed that providing the best educational opportunities is key to a vibrant community. In support of students beginning another school year, Garver employees helped students acquire the needed supplies for a return to their classrooms. Contributions in North Little Rock, Arkansas and Frisco, Texas included the donation and delivery of essential supplies that benefited almost 200 students.

“Students are the lifeblood of our communities and we were proud to play a role in helping these organizations make sure they have all they need for another school year,” said Garver Executive Assistant Daphne Ruck.

In North Little Rock, employees assisted the Heart of Our House’s Back to School Drive, chaired by Garver Executive Assistant Nancy Fulmer, by organizing and helping deliver necessary supplies and school uniforms to 120 under-privileged students who attended Our House Shelter’s summer program. The supplies benefited K-12 students and included calculators, crayons, glue sticks, highlighters, notebooks, thesauruses, and other items.

In Frisco, employees on the local GarverGives committee aided the Frisco Family Services Back2School Fun Fair, which provides K-12 students with new backpacks, supplies, and clothing. GarverGives’ contribution of supplies totaled more than $2,300, 70 stuffed backpacks, and new clothing for 12 students.
