Landside Pavement Analysis

Airports have relied on Garver to manage their runway pavements for nearly 30 years, so when Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport wanted to revisit how it handled its landside pavement, they turned to AssetMax, a subsidiary of Garver that focuses on pavement management. AssetMax takes the science used by the FAA on the airfield and uses it to help drive business decisions regarding landside pavements, which ultimately saves clients money.

From paid parking lots to employee parking to parking lots on the property the airport leases to tenants, 25 percent of Clinton National Airport's total pavement is spread out over 20 parking lots, all of which must be properly maintained.

"We worked very closely with the airport to understand their goals, financial arrangements, and usage for the type of facility each pavement serves," said Garver Senior Aviation Planner Suzanne Peyton. "We analyzed over 3 million square feet of pavement and developed maintenance recommendations and budget alternatives for maintaining to maximize the profitability of their revenue producing pavement."

"Clinton National Airport will realize the return on investment of a calculated pavement maintenance plan that also has the capability to integrate their PAVER database and GIS system," said AssetMax Director Keith Tencleve.
