Garver-led design and construction administration services will deliver extensions to Taxiway Golf and Taxiway Bravo at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. In addition to the 2,300-foot extension of Taxiway G and construction of a bypass taxiway near the Runway 11 threshold, the project includes realignment of a vehicle service road, perimeter fence relocation, installation of new taxiway edge lighting, signage, runway guard lights, and associated infrastructure, along with relocation of FAA equipment and other existing utilities.
In addition, Garver relocated multiple NAVAID facilities, including the relocation of the FAA Automated Surface Observing Systems (ASOS), the FAA Airport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC) sensor tower and equipment, modifications to the FAA ALSF-2 approach lighting system, and the design and installation of more than three miles of FAA fiber-optic communications duct bank and cable.
