Garver has considerable experience with the design-build process in accordance with the Design-Build Institute of America’s (DBIA) Best Practices. As part of dynamic design-build teams, Garver has designed new facilities, building renovations, water/wastewater improvements, airfield upgrades, roadways, and bridges for military clients at CONUS and OCONUS installations. Garver’s experience preparing design-build solicitations using a one- or two-step selection procedure paves the way for efficient project delivery, and our experience with the design-build delivery method leads to a streamlined process from conception to construction.
To compensate for site constraints, Garver developed a unique structural design for the new LEED Gold certified pass and identification building at the Tinker Air Force Base Entry Control Point. The customized structural design augmented and hardened the new building interior so that it complies with Department of Defense Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) requirements for enhanced security.
