A steep, curved section on Ramsey Mountain had a history of rollover crashes that frequently shut down the highway for hours. These closures stranded travelers, delayed emergency response, and forced lengthy detours, cutting off access between communities.
Garver developed a creative, small-scale emergency bypass that improves reliability and public safety without extensive reconstruction. The bypass allows traffic and emergency services to maintain access during incidents, transforming a problematic roadway segment into a more dependable corridor.
