US 82 Greenville Bypass

To alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety in northwest Mississippi, the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) tabbed Garver as design consultant for about 17 miles of four-lane highway. For the US 82 Greenville Bypass project stretching between the Mississippi River Bridge and Leland, Garver provided new alignment roadway and designed the sequence of construction and traffic control plans to maintain traffic. Garver also designed pavement markings, signing, lighting, and ITS plans. Culvert details, fencing, cable barrier, riparian buffer, and erosion control designs were also produced and included in the plans. Garver also updated past bridge design plans to current design standards and designed bridge repair plans.
