Reynolds joins Garver as Survey Team Leader for Texas
Jason Reynolds will lead Garver's growing survey team in the Lone Star state
With the addition of Jason Reynolds as Survey Team Leader in Georgetown, Garver is further expanding its Surveying services into Central Texas. In his role, Reynolds will leverage his 30-plus years of experience to serve a variety of clients, including DOTs, counties, municipalities, private development, and industrial.
Reynolds is tasked with building a team to tackle the state’s growing number of infrastructure projects, and he welcomes the challenge. “I’m looking for people who are excited, enjoy what they're doing, and want to be part of something bigger,” said Reynolds. “The team I’m building will be able to offer efficiency, capacity, technology, quality, and expertise.”
“Jason is passionate about building teams, and the one he’s building at Garver will enable us to serve Central Texas on a whole other level,” said Texas Construction Leader Dakota Zimmerman, PE. “From our Georgetown office, we will be able to service municipalities across the region — southward to San Antonio and northward to Waco, all along the I-35 corridor.”
Reynolds has a history of being able to get complex and diverse projects off the ground. “It’s one of my superpowers,” he said. During his three-decades-plus career, he planted the flag in Austin, building a survey team from one person to 14 crews. He’s also been responsible for providing strategic leadership for Survey, SUE, and Geospatial Services and establishing long-term office growth and performance objectives.
Reynolds studied kinesiology in school and planned to become a football coach but said surveying chose him. And he’s been able to take his on-the-field skills and apply them to his in-the-field work.
“Jason is a great fit for this role and for Garver. He shares our firm’s values, like integrity and expertise, and its goals,” said Construction Services Director Earl Mott, PE. “Also, he’s a lifelong Texan with 30 years in the AEC industry. He knows and understands the region and is well-positioned to serve our clients.”
Garver appealed to Reynolds for several reasons. Its strategic plan impressed him, and he felt he had something to contribute to it. He was also drawn to the quality of the people. “A lot of places claim to have a great culture but don't walk the walk,” he said, “That is not the case here.”
