Nick named to AMP's Future 50 Leaders list
Garver Corporate Communications Leader Laura Nick doesn’t play a direct role in the infrastructure projects delivered by the firm to communities across the country each day. But there’s no doubt Garver’s impact has been enhanced by the efforts of her and her team.
Nick, who leads an in-house team charged with all facets of branding, strategic marketing, and internal communications, was named recently to Arkansas Money & Politics’ Future 50 Leaders list.
The inaugural list identifies the up-and-comers in Arkansas business, policy, and culture who have shown the potential to drive progress across the state.
“Complemented by Garver’s recent growth, Laura’s vision has resulted in Garver being well-positioned inside a highly competitive industry and we’ve become an even stronger partner to the communities we live and work in Arkansas and across the country,” said Garver President and CEO Brock Hoskins.
Nick first arrived at Garver to create a competitive recruitment program focused on attracting and maintaining the most talented engineers, architects, and environmental professionals. Since then, Garver has grown to nearly 800 employees spread across the country and is now listed by Engineering News-Record as one of the top 125 engineering firms in the country, while also being annually recognized by Zweig Group as a Best Place to Work.
In addition, she was integral in the creation of GarverGives, the company’s employee-driven charitable giving program which has contributed more than $800,000 to more than 300 organizations since 2015.
In 2019, Nick’s team led the execution of Garver’s centennial celebration, which included the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge that saw engineers from Garver work with students across the country to pass along critical STEM concepts.
